In 2014, CURRENTLee was awarded Best Student Produced Newscast by the Suncoast National Academy of Television, Arts and Science for the third consecutive year. This was one of seven (7) Awards for Excellence (student Emmy’s) presented to the students who produce CURRENTLee as well as other programming for the Lee County School District Channel.
